Addison's 1st Birthday!
We had such a wonderful time! So many people came in the pouring rain to celebrate with us! I'm guessing about 40 people were there. I didn't do a head count. Addison kept her tutu on the entire time and was in such a good mood! Thank you Lord that she miraculously took a TWO hour nap right before the party! She has been refusing them lately which is why I called it "birthday luck" or a gift from God. She was so attentive and walked around and allowed lots of different people to hold her. She ate ALL of her birthday cupcake (made by daddy) and loved helping rip the tissue paper out of the bags. It was a successful party and we are so thankful to all who could make it! A lot of things I just HAD to get done didn't seem that big of a deal once the day of the part came. I planned on displaying her 12 pictures ( one for each month) in a special hand made holder that I was making but I decided last mintue that it was a little too time consuming and that I would rather spend my extra time with Addy instead of doing projects she doesn't even care about. When she's older I'll put more time into those kinds of things. Because maybe, JUST MAYBE, I'll be a working part time and I will have more time to do those crafty project type things. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the party.

Matt and I's 11 Yr Anniversary (for Dating)
So eleven years ago Matt and I went on our first date. We remember we went to a movie and then to Spaghetti Warehouse because Italian food was my favorite. The one right by the Parks Mall. We just happened to order the exact same thing (breaded and stuffed ravioli) but ate only a few bites! We were so intrigued with one another we forgot to eat and I NEVER forget to eat. After talking for at least 2 hrs (our waitress probably hated us!) we finally left and he took me home. It was such a fun date. The night before Addison was born last year we went there again, to the same spot and had dinner. I was however MUCH more uncomfortable this time around and was so huge! I could barely eat because the baby was pushing on my stomach so much and was causing such bad heartburn. Phew, just thinking about it makes me want to wait a while longer for #2. Well shall see.
Here is the oldest picture I could find. We had just turned 17 I think. On our first date we were 16.

Courtney and Ted got engaged!
What an awesome surprise! We had an empromtu engagement party tonight because my sister got engaged! We were all at Addison's birthday party and my dad pulled Matt and I into the garage for a secret meeting. We had no idea what he was going to tell us. He wispered to us that Ted was planning on asking Court to marry him tonight on a rooftop at sunset in downtown Ft. Worth! It went perfectly! My sister and I are pretty much opposites on a lot of things so I can't wait to see what we do for her wedding! I am so traditional and got married in a church and had a super long engagement. She would never get married in a church and plans on having a short engagement (good idea) and is ultra nontraditional but still has awesome taste. I wouldn't be surprised if they get married out of the country. I better start saving for a plane ticket! Here are some pictures from the night.
