It's a wonder my husband has yet to find his dream job (aren't we all!) since he is so talented at so many things. One of those things is computers. He "plays around" on the computer for hours and I end up getting a brand new blog! Go figure! He has had no training whatsoever and this is what he comes up with.
With all my years of loving to take pictures I thought I would start putting together a portfolio of my favorite shots. I have absolutely no time/money to take a photography class to learn the technical side and I especially don't have the time/money to start my own business at this time in my life but Matt and I have been brainstorming and tinkering around with some fun watermarks that I would like to use on my work for when I do try to turn my hobby into something more. He is so talented in the computer editing/design stuff (he's one of those "Type-A-detailed-perfectionistic " weirdos...). Here are a few fun pics I have taken recently. I really hate that the pics are so small. I wish I could get them to show up BIG so you can see the detail !!!
It's almost 1am and I don't remember the last time I stayed up this late. This blog/computer stuff gets me sucked in! I will have a baby waking up at 8:00am so I better go!

LOVE LOVE LOVE your pictures and your new blog header. VERY nice!! So are you learning photoshop? I think all of those watermarks are fantastic, very classy and chic. I want to learn photoshop or the lightroom program for photo editing. I know of several places to get free actions you can download to photoshop and I'd love to use them... maybe christmas next year someone will buy that for me. lol! I can't wait to see more of your pictures, you have a great eye!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen. That is really sweet. You're exactly right. Lightroom is one of the coolest program we use. Photoshop is a little more detailed and challenging to use but I leave that one to Matt and he can figure it out in no time. haha.
ReplyDeleteIf you do start messing around with Photoshop let me know I have a ton of online free tutorials that I had my students do when I had to teach that class a few years back. They are videos that show alot of the cool things you can do with that program... and they are free!

Justin! That is awesome! I will tell Matt. There is so much on Photoshop that I have no idea how to use. Matt has been googling for tutorials for that particular program to help us learn. You are the first guy to read my blog besides matt. I am very flattered...
