Well this has been the best Saturday so far! Addy is down for her nap so I can squeeze in a blog entry! It's fun blogging in the middle of the day! haha! A day at home with my family is always such a treat.
Matt and I woke up at 7:30 and I asked him what he wanted me to make for breakfast. He said " Let's go out! How fast can you get ready?" Woohoo was my response! I jumped out of bed, threw on some workout clothes and was ready in no time! I heard Addy just a few minutes later and we scooped her up from her crib, changed her quickly and we were on our way. Our Place (a family owned little mom and pop restaurant) is literally 2 minutes from our home so we were there in no time! We saw a lot of people from our church! It was so much fun! Our waitress was really nice and she said she had a little boy Addy's age. God has blessed us so much so we decided to leave a large tip for her. This something I really like doing. In the past, I have found myself leaving the bare minimum tip because I think that since we live on one income and we live on a tight budget that we can't afford to give a lot of extra money away. Well, I have learned here recently that that's not how it works. God does not say, "Giving to others or faithfully giving to Him (tithing) only when you have extra left over". We should give to others and give to our God/church thru tithe because of how much God has blessed us. And let me just say that if you live in the United States of America you are rich. Even if you live in a shelter, you are rich compared to other parts of the world! I should have left a little card to invite her to our church on Easter Sunday. I have a few I have given out to friends that we know who don't have a church home.
I digress...sorry. How did I get on the subject of tithing?
Ok so after breakfast we went to get the dogs nails trimmed and filed at Petco. They have been needing it so bad. We also get them new collars and dog tags. Then we took them to the park cause they needed to get some energy out. They did great. Very good around strangers and children. They are very friendly dogs and are getting a lot better about walking next to us and not pulling. The are both zonked out on the couch after their trip to the park. They LOVED it! This week we are getting Goose's man-parts chopped off cause he needs to calm down! We've been meaning to do it for a long time! We hear it really helps their personality and level of hyperness (is that a word) lol.
I am going to start cleaning my house because we are having our small group from church over tomorrow night. It should be fun. I love having people over. (It's my spiritual gift...haha) Mop my floors, clean the bathrooms, do the dishes and two loads of laundry.
My dads birthday is tomorrow and I still have no gift! I need to call my mom and see what to get him. He is getting his handgun license today! Isn't that funny! My dad is such an outdoorsmen!
