Playing Catch-up

Look at this disaster! What was I thinking trying to make Addy a personal sized birthday cake! This is a VERY ROUGH version of what I wanted. I thought I should do a trial run since I've never made one before. Thank goodness I did! I had no idea Michaels has an entire isle devoted to professional baking/cake decorating supplies! I was in heaven! I bought a set of mini cake pans and was going to put together a mulit-colored layered mini-cake for her to "smash"/eat. I am going to have to watch a few more episodes of Cake Boss or Ace of Cakes to figure out how to get all the layers to line up on the sides. Also I will be using a different recipe of icing. This one is much too runny. I need something firm that I can spread easier and that won't run like this one is doing. I should do some research to find a baking class that I can take. Maybe TCC has some available inexpensive classes? Also, I'd love to take some photography classes as well. I have all these buttons on my camera but have no idea what they do!



So we've been having trouble figuring out what to feed Addy lately. She's pretty much completely off baby food. But now all she will consistently eat is bananas. So we found out randomly that she loves Spaghetti O's! I don't really want to start feeding her unhealthy foods but at this point I'm just glad she's eating something.





I have been trying to get things together for Addison's birthday. This is the first of the decorations I've started for her party.



This is my kitchen table. It's never usually looks like this but I've kinda made it my "craft room" for the next two weeks.



Addy loves to play chase around the house. "Im gonna get you" is her favorite thing to hear us say while we chase her around.






I love how Addison sleeps. She usually stretches out and puts both arms above her head. She looks so perfectly peaceful.
