My parents 30th Wedding Anniversary is coming up in June. As the oldest child in the family I feel like I should head up the planning for a party of some sort. Of course I would have loved to just all go on a cruise together or something but life doesn't always work out the way you planned. My sister and her husband just got married and my brother and his wife will be getting married in a month and we are living on one income so everyone is pretty poor right now. With my job I don't really have a whole lot of sick time to take off for vacation. Instead, I am trying to plan something fun for my parents. Like a cookout/Luau? It would be more casual and relaxed. I want to make it special and not just some backyard bbq but I'm not sure how to do that.
Another option is to do a Sunday afternoon dessert and appetizer come and go Party. I would make it just a tad more fancy. I thought about having a cake made but I actually would like to make a few cakes myself. Sometimes I try to plan/achieve too much and end up very stressed at the last minute. Thats just because I'm such a dreamer when it comes to home decorating and parties!!! Matt has to tell me to SLOW DOWN and say NO to some things if you can't fit them in. Here are some cakes I found on I am baker. (my favorite baking blog!) I would love to try all of these cakes out to see if I could pull them off! I would love to have multiple cakes sitting out on the table but there is no way I could pull them all off for one party.

Easter this year was awesome! Addy was the perfect age to start looking for eggs! It was so much fun! Life must be really boring without kids. I love so much being able to remember and re-live my childhood memories through my own children! Here are some pics I got of Addy. She spilled all sorts of stuff on her cute Easter dress so we just did the egg hunt naked! ( I should rephrase; SHE did the egg hunt naked...not me)

I LOVE the purple & grey!!!!!!!
